About

I am a teacher, theatre director, writer and puppeteer living in Portland, Oregon with my twin sons and proudly hirsute husband.

I love hearing and telling stories, and my creative process distills rigorous artistic methods into a grounded, practical, accessible, and human approach, beneficial to artists both professional and/or hopeful and emerging.

I’ve worked for four years as a writing teacher, theatre director and arts administrator developing stories with people living with illness, trauma, and/or stigma, helping people find and tell the stories they’re proud about in collaboration with professional artists.  Before that, I worked five years in play development with playwrights locally and nationally, and toured for two years as a puppeteer.  The organizations I’ve worked or volunteered for include:

  • Well Arts
  • Portland Emerging Arts Leaders
  • Pacific Northwest Arts in Health Alliance
  • Tears of Joy Theatre
  • Portland Theatre Works
  • Sun Schools
  • Profile Theatre Project
  • Broadway Rose Theatre Company
  • Write Around Portland
  • Teatro de Milagro
  • Portland Actors Ensemble
  • New Century Players
